If I was ever going to be a topical collector trains on stamps would do it for me. I have a small trains on stamp collection of dupliocates from the counries I collect. It is sad that here in the USofA we have lost our trains and have to fly on tin cans crammed in a too small seat and eat peanuts and be frisked and wait 30 minutes for the bags to show up if they made the connecting flight. I wold love to ride trains again. Nick

Here are images of the four stamps in a Coronation set depicting Victoria Falls and a railway bridge, engraved and printed by Waterlow & Sons, Ltd., and issued for use in Southern Rhodesia on May 12, 1937, Scott Nos. 38-41, SG Nos. 36-39.

Nethryk,
no criticism intended, but these scans are a little on the dark side,
Not your usual fantabulous images.
Is your scanner dying from overuse :)

rod222 - Sorry to disappoint you. I suppose you really can't please everyone all the time. After I posted that Southern Rhodesia Coronation set on another online stamp forum, one member there commented as follows: "Wonderful! Beautiful fresh colors as well. Nice post Nethryk." Go figure!

Here are images of the four stamps in a set honoring German inventor and mechanical engineer Rudolf Diesel (1858-1913), inventor of the Diesel engine, designed and engraved by Jean Pheulpin, and issued by Niger on September 7, 1973, Scott Nos. 283-86.
