I bought a "Trains on stamps" collection from my dealer for $35 about 18 months ago.

I didn't collect Trains, but I did see amongst the collection, TURKEY the inauguration of the railroad Ankara to Sivas.

what a nice find - those stamps don't seem to appear that often in general collections of Turkish stamps. Lucky chap!

For once, perhaps not luck but knowledge.
I collect Turkey, and thought for years, that set would be beyond my grasp.

There were, I think 4 values missing in the trains set, but which I had.

I think SCF had a hand in it, I would not normally look at a Thematic collection, but was curious as to how deep the collection went.
Imagine my surprise, and the anxious wait till the auction ended.
