Perf14 - Yes, Ol' "Bluenose" is one of the all-time classics.

Here is an image of an engraved stamp depicting sailboats designed by Cuban painter and designer Luis Martínez Pedro (1910-1989), and issued by Cuba on September 22, 1960 to publicize the Summer Olympic Games in Rome, Scott No. 645, SG No. 954.

Pinisi junk and Expo 86 emblem, printed by photogravure, and issued by Indonesia on May 2, 1966 to publicize the 1986 World Exposition in Vancouver, Canada, Scott No. 1284. I believe the bird-like emblem on the sail may be a stylized version of the Indonesian national coat of arms, the Garuda Pancasila (see photo below).

Sailboats on Riddarfjärden (literally, The Knight Firth), a bay of Lake Mälaren in central Stockholm, designed by by Swedish graphic artist Eva Jern after a photograph by Bengt af Geijerstam (1944- ), engraved by Martin Mörck, and issued by Sweden on March 24, 1983, Scott No. 1455, Facit No. 1248.

The Volvo Ocean Race (formerly the Whitbread Round the World Race) is a yacht race around the world, held every three years. Here is an image of a stamp depicting La Poste's own yacht participating in the 1989-90 race, designed and engraved by Pierre Forget, and issued by France on June 6, 1990, Scott No. 2223, Y&T No. 2648.
