The Mei Lanfang stamps were issued in 1962. On many of the PRC stamps, the year is indicated in the bottom margin, usually near the right corner.

Issued in 1925, I think, was used in 1940's, at least most of the covers with this stamp are from this time period.

I'll put it under 1925 in the album.

Looks similar to German based designs, wouldn't be surprised
if it was printed there.

Rod, the Chinese text on your famine relief stamp simply reads 'Please help'.
