Hi Irishjack

Most of the stamps in the scan are definitive type stamps. The 2 stamps in the top row to the right appear to be 'cut-aquares' from Bavarian postal cards.

The 20 pfennig blue in the middle row with the perfin "E" is Bavarian 'official' stamp.

The bottom row, last brown stamp is not Bavarian but appears to be from Austria.

It is difficult to give you exact catalogue numbers for some of the coat of arms stamps w/o knowing the perforations and watermarks etc.

Hope this helps you some?

Chimo

What do you need help with exactly?
One thing I can tell you in any case is that the ones inscribed 'Deutsches Reich' (second row, second from right and third row, second from left) are technically German empire stamps. Originally Bavaria stamps but overprinted when Bavaria joined the German empire in 1920.
The two stamps marked 'Freistaat Bayern' are from shortly before that period, when King Ludwig III had abdicated after WW I and the kingdom of Bavaria had turned into a short lived republic.

No, not a former Royal Canadian Engineer but you are the second or third person to ask that because I use the word "Chimo". It is a salutation more or less and used a greeting. Ojibway and other Indian languages also used it. I studied some Ojibway and have noticed some similarities in words with other North American Indian dialects and languages.
