Welcome to Stamp Community Forum, Hoarder21!

Your stamp is actually a very common Canadian stamp issued in 1963. A simple and elegant design. I have a friend that loves it and actually uses it as her avatar!

In the Scott and Unitrade catalogs, it is either Canada 401(untagged) or 401p(tagged). Both are priced at minimum catalog price, as both are very common stamps. Tagged means the stamp has a chemical substance applied that will photoluminesce when exposed to certain wavelengths of ultraviolet light.

Also comes as a booklet stamp with a straight edge or two.

Part of the Cameo set of Queen Elizabeth II.

I love the name "hoarder21" - I most of us could add that as a prefix to our names. Well at least the hoarder part.

The cameo set is also available with a G overprint - official government postal use.

And as coils - the Cameo coils are notorious for being poorly centred, to the point where the Unitrade catalogue includes mint prices for them in MNH-Fine condition. I think that is the only issue in the Elizabethan era that is treated like that, every other issue is priced strictly MNH-Very Fine for mint stamps.

Welcome to the forum hoarder

As stated earlier, that series of stamps is quite common. Always be leery of the word 'rare'. It is a word that is used all too often by sellers on the different online auctions.

I remember when I started collecting seeing ads in the stamp papers (and this is before online auctions etc too) with dealers selling "Rare" Hitler Head stamps. I thought I was worth millions because I had dozens of them at the time - boy, did I learn fast

Hope you enjoy the forum.
