I was placing a snipe bid the other day and put the wrong lot number down. Now I own some stamps that I don't know anything about. Can anyone help with identification and maybe a CV value I ended up paying $25 for them and hopefully wasn't taken to the cleaners
It is always awkward when commenting when people have spent their money. My take: Possibly $10 over the top I have been collecting Russia for 10 years and there are some in that lot I don't have, you may have a rarity amongst them, some nice postmarks and a little duplication.
You made the mistake, so you definitely havn't been "taken to the cleaners" that's an experience issue :)
(I once bid on some "cinderellas" that were cut outs from a magazine)
Just one thing, if you entertain collecting Russia now, get a very large album :)
O well some more stamps for the world wide box. Next time I make sure not to do this mistake . Rule number one don't drink single malt while placing bids the bidding didnt work out to good but the malt was good
