I cannot imagine that they are legitimate. Here is a scan of one for the archive:

I know without a shadow of a doubt that most of the "overprinted" German and Dutch stamps he is selling ARE completely FAKE! That makes me suspect on all of them!

Pardon my complete ignorance on this one, but how do you know they are all fake? He does seem to have an awful lot of them, but really, how can you tell?

I agree ...there appears to be no record of any such stamps..the Germans had stamps of their own they didnt have to overprint..

As a Dutchman who's interested in all things WW2 (besides my day job I even volunteer in a museum commemorating Market Garden) and a German Reich collector I can say that I have NEVER seen those before. Imho these are definitely fakes.

Hi Philb

Count on this stamp being a FAKE.

This stamp is not listed in my N.V.P.H. catalogue for Netherlands and the colonies.

Hi Phil. There are actually a couple of museums commemorating Market Garden. Which did you visit? The one I help out at is located in the south, near Eindhoven. Not as big as the famous one at Overloon, but still worth a visit.

Please turn down your volume before clicking that link. The website colleague got a little overenthusiastic on the Christmas season...

Hello Tinus, the museum I visited twice was near Arnhem..it was like a villa or a chateau and it had much about the British Red Devils paratroopers...theres an old tank and anti tank gun outside..there was a British Commonwealth cemetary nearby...beautiful so well kept and quiet. I was moved by the Grebbeberg cemetary and museum...to see that they were all killed within 6 days in May 1940 !

I am a bit worried about Eric [Revstampman]. He posted here on this thread 19th December and this is the only post from him for quite some time, none since and none for some time before this.
Before my holiday I had sent him a number of emails, both privately and through the forum system. I did not get a reply and posted my concerns elsewhere on the forum with messages that I hoped all was OK.
Has anyone heard from him and has he changed his email and postal addresses. I am trying to find out if he got some mail which was sent to him.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Sorry for posting here but this was the closest message I could find and hadn't previously seen it.
