My question was lost in another topic, and I will be really thankful if someone could tell me actual (or any) value of this stamp? I can't find this type of surcharge in the Forbin, so I am just curious why it is not listed there, and is it somewhere listed at all. Many thanks in advance!

Hi filipo

I have an old 1986 edition of the Barefoot Catalogue and it doesn't even list the 33 cents surcharge, let alone an inverted one and normal one as well.

Sorry I couldn't help

It isn't in the 2008 edition either.

There were some odd Seychelles surcharges made in the 1890's, including missing 'SEYCHELLES' opts: it might be a worthy line of inquiry to pursue.

Thanks, Plateflaw. Is in the "Seychelles" section in the "Barefoot" catalog listed double 33 cents surcharge with missing "Seychelles"?

Filipo, ?
you are making a statement, then adding a query, confusing, have you found the ID?

In my 2000 Barefoot states "These values were reported by Morley, but have not been seen in modern times"

I would echo Plateflaw's suggestion.

Hi Rod! This is 8 years old thread, from 2011. Back in the time, I think that I have sold that revenue to a collector known as "Revenue Reverend"... I think that it has been unique one known with a reversed surcharge.

You can see a reference on his page:

https://www.revrevd.com/seychelles.html

Will be nice that I can get it back, but will be even nicer to get the last 8 years back...

And Rod, please, feel free to send me an email anytime when you will see that I am not replying... just don't see all messages, and I don't like to miss to reply when someone is asking something!

Hi filipo,
my bad, I should have typed "bumped thread"

I have a differing slant, I like my rarer stamps to go to more dedicated collections.
You should have the peace of mind to know your discovery lies now, in a very great collection, and probably shall remain so.

I'll pop over and have a "bo-peep"

Cheers filipo!

Hi Rod!

I am crying for the past 8 years lost in the wind (not connected to that revenue anyhow; it just has reminded me actually how many years are gone so fast from the moment when I have opened that thread!
