Nells250 - Thanks! Last evening I showcased those images of the Princess Grace Foundation souvenir sheet during a presentation I made to my local stamp club about photoscanning stamps and participating in online stamp forums. Several club members expressed interest in our information sharing activities here at SCF.

On November 23, 1982 Vatican City issued a souvenir sheet to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the introduction of the Gregorian Calendar, Scott No. 717a. Here are images of this souvenir sheet and its three stamps engraved by Antonio Ciaburro depicting details of the relief sculpture by Milanese sculptor Camillo Rusconi (1658-1728) on Pope Gregory XIII's tomb monument in St. Peter's Basilica, Scott Nos. 715-17, plus a photo of Rusconi's artwork.

On September 3, 1937 a heroic bust of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln which San Marino had commissioned from American sculptor Raymond Granville Barger (1906-2001) was unveiled, and a national holiday was celebrated. Here is an image of one of two similar souvenir sheets, engraved and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co., and issued by San Marino on April 7, 1938 to commemorate the inauguration of Barger's sculpture, Scott No. 186, plus a detail image of the stamp and a photo of the bust.

Very interesting souvenir sheets posted here. I have always been fascinated with s.s. and have quite a few.

Here's one from Ascension Islands.

An Australian s.s. commemorating 50th anniversary of the first trans-pacific flight.

This s.s. from Dubai commemorates 60 years of postal service.

Issued by UAE in 2010 to mark 25th Anniversary of Jabel ali Free Zone.

Here is an image of a semi-postal souvenir sheet depicting an Allegory of the Republic holding an olive branch and a dove, and the coat of arms of Czechoslovakia from 1918 to 1939, designed by Czech artist Max Svabinský (1873–1962), engraved by Bohumil Heinz, and issued by Czechoslovakia in 1938 to commemorate the country's 20th anniversary of independence and to benefit national relief for refugees, Scott No. B153, plus a detail image of the stamp in the sheet. Note: The motto on the coat of arms, PRAVDA VITEZI, translates as "Truth Prevails."

Issued by Canada in 2008 on the Anniversary of Yousuf Karsh's birthday.

This SS is one of my favourites issued in the last few years.
Love the black and white and grey colours and the printing
by Lowe-Martin is superb.
Notice all the famous personalities in the border who were
photographed by Karsh.
