I have found some nice colour varieties sorting and mounting some of my France items.

This is the regular YT #39 1960 in blue and olive

YT #39b in just blue

YT #39c in olive

This is the regular YT #38 in blue and purple

and lastly YT #38c no purple

My Scott Catalog doesn't mention different colors of these stamps. Is there a significant price difference?

Nice. Sometimes when people post color variants, it's such a small variation, one could lay the discrepancy to something like a butterfly sneezing in the print room when the stamp was drying. These are very different, and very attractive to boot.

Hi Danko,
Scott and also SG to a lesser degree only cover the basics.
I really cannot recommend a Maury catalogue enough.
It is only €20 in Europe and has so much detail in 900+ A5 pages, only covers France and has full colour images.
Only mint is listed and the price difference is €1.8, €175 and €140 for regular 39, 39b and 39c.

Thanks Ben. They do look attractive when mounted together.

Nice stamps. I have to develop an eye for things like that.

I have only one airmail stamp from France and it looks like the plane is flying in good weather!

Anthony thanks a lot for the info. That's a good price difference. Got to look into it.
