I usually use cloths and paper towels to dry stamps after soaking them and allowing them to partially dry. I weight them down with a couple books to keep them flat. Yesterday evening, I was looking at a couple slightly wrinkled stamps on my desk and wanting a low volume stamp pressing solution, such as the Thor stamp press. Has anyone tried those? How long do they take to flatten/dry a stamp?

Anyways, I decided to try making my own with a couple blocks of wood. I cut and glued some leftover pieces of plexiglass to the wood to make an absolutely flat surface. This evening, when the glue had dried, I lightly moistened one of the stamps and put it between the blocks with a few layers of Kraft paper (thick paper used for packing) on each side. I clamped it with a couple clamps and let it sit for a few minutes. So far, I have done two stamps with reasonable success.

Has anyone tried anything similar or used a commercial press? Show me your pictures! It seems a good solution for small numbers of stamps, but obviously I will stick with my standard soaking/drying techniques for larger numbers.
