25c. Q for O in off. More a novelty than a real variety.

Also a kiss print on the 1c. Apologies for the poor detail scans. They are old and I do not have time to rescan.

Though I should add, that these are extremely common and shown here for information if anyone has one.

You might want to send that 48 cent NFLD stamp to Ralph at re-entries.com and let him take a look at it.

A scan of the reverse showing the backstamps.

Varieties seem to be pretty common on this issue, and from what I have seen for sale, not particularly valuable.

This cover probably is.

Lets see what the experts think.

If you would like to see the major varieties for this issue, click on the link below and all will be revealed.

wert.

I sent him a scan of the 3c, and mentioned the 48c.

I sent him a few messages the other day, with some amazing stamps. But completely messed them up. I know he is extremely busy, and my messages are now probably bottom of his list.

My communication skills are useless. But putting the pictures here I find are easy. So I will stick to here.

The other cover I showed above also has some varieties. But for now I would just like to concentrate on this one.

What do you think of the cover ?.

I got it on ebay a few years ago. When I looked at the stamps and saw so many varieties, I did not believe it could be possible.

I am eagerly awaiting opinions. Positive or negative.

On this 3 cent stamp (holding aside comments on the re-entries): there are two listed varieties or Die I and Die II

Die I has no dots on the nose
Die II has dots on the nose

No appreciable price difference, in my opinion from catalog prices. but good to know.

Also--there is only one known variety, which does have a significant price difference: a "cigar stub" on this lip. I don't have a pic of this, but its very noticeable and slightly to the right of the center of his lips--a big short blotch (ie, the "cigar stub"). Pay attention to this one; in my view this stamp on a cover is about $3, but with the cigar stub variety, could go for $100 or more

Happy hunting--pull those books out now!
