When Canadian Bank Note mails back the Picture Postage(tm) orders to individuals/companies, the outer envelope uses two seasonally-based Picture Postage stamps.

I know that the following 4 designs have been used with the "silver ribbon frame" (Scott 2063):

I have also heard that at least one of these seasonal images has been used with the "picture frame photo album" stamp (Scott 2064).

Does anyone else have any other design and/or frame combination not illustrated here?

Thanks in advance.

['picture frame' changed to 'photo album'; thanks for the correction Puzzler!]

= = = = Too much caffeine rant follows = = = =

I wish to file a complaint with the complaint department for all stamp collectors involved please.

In regards to the style of frame names used here and elsewhere for teh Picture Postage Scott #2063 and #2064.

There are only two names:
1. Silver Ribbon style frame or framing.
2. Photo Album style frame or framing.

This is how they were named from Canada Post, this is how they are in Unitrade and Scott (I am assuming) and Picture Postage online themselves.

There is no picture frame in evidence. The second style looks like a photo or a picture attached in an album but not a picture frame at all. Where is the frame? Where is the wood or metal or plastic? Sigh.

A never ending battle I fear. I suppose I should just give up and enjoy stamp collecting like everyone else. Life would be easier all in all.

Sigh.

= = = = End rant = = = =

Puzzler: I changed the first message as you suggested.

I then went to the Picture Postage website ... they describe the two styles as "Album" and "Ribbon".

[Don't want to stray off topic as I would very much like to know of any other image/frame styles that are known to exist on the mailings from CBN.]

My collection is in disarray at the moment. I think I have one or two.

See Bee See's page on his web site for examples of the Photo Album style CBN stamps:
http://brcstamps.com/picturepostage...tage_07.html

Another thing, just for clarification skaes with everybody out there who is collecting these stamps.

the Winter stamp used has (still does?) a picture of Maple tree branch ends covered in Winte frost or rime, zoomed in on. Quite a picture actually, very good macro work with the lens.

The major reasoning behind this assertion is the cancel used is a Maple leaves cancel.

The cancel on these seasonal stamps is always matched with the picture on the stamps as follows:

Autumn is red Maple leaves and a Maple tree and leaves cancel.
Winter is Maple tree branch ends (twigs?) with frost and a Maple tree branches cancel.
Spring is Iris flowers and an Iris flowers cancel.
Summer is a Sunflower and a Sunflowers cancel.

Pictures from ebay to follow. . .

Sorry for straying.

Following pics are courtesy of different ebay auctions:

Sorry for the different sizes.

However, I have no scans or stamps saved of the photo album style cut square stamps on piece or entires.

While all covers I have seen for 2010 have the photo album style, the few I have seen for 2011 have the ribbon style again, including a winter scene mailed to me in January 2011. I have not made in Picture Postage since then.

Darn, I missed out on them last year. Ah well, maybe they will change the pictures sometime?

Actually I am quite surprised that the Picture Postage stamps to not have the "permanent" symbol yet.
