This thread is for 32 cent Queen varieties you may have found.
I`ll start with this one. The last A of CANADA has an extra cross-bar.
I`ve found 6 copies of this. NOW 7 copies.

Do the other 5 copies that you have look exactly like this one? or does the extra horizontal dash vary in length or position along the right side of the A?

They are exactly the same.
The value? It would depend on how badly somebody wanted it.

This one has a dot on the Queens nose! I have 11 copies.
NOW 17 copies.
The dot moves around as the position of "Canada" moves.

I call this one the earring variety. There is a blue dot behind the ear and a grey dot above the D of Canada. I have 7 copies of this and they all have the 2 dots in the same location. NOW 13 copies.

be a hickey but it seems to have lasted for a while. Have 6 copies.

What a great study you've done. Not just a single blemish but found multiples of each is great evidence for a constant variety. Bot sure how many you have gone through to find all these but I'm guessing alot. On the one with black dot lower left of neck-(9 copies) do all have the misregistration of the head? Looks almost like doubbling at least in the neck area.

Thanks for the interest. I`ve gone through about 10 thousand
stamps. The stamps with that variety has several with misregistration
and 2 that are very sharp. Misregistration on this series (12-32 cents)
is very common.
Here is one with a hairline. It runs up through the C of CANADA and
then up to the left. I have 8 copies of this one.

Wow that is dedication. I have about 3-4000 2 cent excise I want to flyspeck. Definatly many color variations just havn't sat and dug in. I wonder what it takes to get a bew variety listed in unitrade. Your last example with the hairline is more that a speck and should qualify. Then again if I had my way the catalog would ne 10,000 pages.

Robin Harris (Unitrade Canada specialized editor) has a series of catalogues with deeper specialization for Canadian Elizabethan definitive stamps, and he may well be interested in this info for his Environment Definitive Series catalogue. As an example, his Centennial Definitives catalogue shows 96 plate variety listings for the 6 cent orange, 86 plate variety listings for the 7 cent, 77 plate variety listings for the small 8 cent, etc. This level of detail is only due to some studies that were made of plate proofs in the National Archives, but they do indicate that he's not afraid of publishing flyspeck research.

My copy of his catalogue (1997 second printing) shows 3 different variety listings:

- mole on Queen's jaw (LR stamp in UL blank blk 9)
- "raised eyebrow", dark band over the Queen's eyebrow (pos 1, C2-C3), 1 in 6 panes
- noticeable break in the background shading behind the Queen's head (pos 12, C5), 1 in 6 panes

Here's the link to his page on his specialized catalogues.
