Back in November 2008 I visited the Library and Archives Canada in Ottawa.
I viewed the press sheet of the 32c QEII, BABN printing, Plate 2.
BABN used two colour photogravure and one colour engraving.
Here is a digitally re-created image:

As was typical of BABN printings of the time, there are 6 panes of 100 subjects per cylinder revolution. The left 3 panes are field stock (without inscriptions) while the right 3 panes are philatelic stock (with inscriptions).
A very faint "crying Queen" variety (illustrated here previously by 'alanl') is found at position 89 of the upper right pane.
The "goatee" variety is at position 55 of the lower left pane.
At the time I was not aware of the other dots/dashes/etc. that 'alanl' is illustrating here. Wish I had known of them ... it would be great to pinpoint their location on the press sheet (
if they were there at the time of the original printing).
