Have two 10 Pf Ukraine Hitler stamps. I noticed a marked difference in the two, ear, eye, vertical line on forehead. According to Scott and Michel they are supposed to be the same, though two different types of printing was used. Any info on the (fake?) stamp would be appreciated.

They're both genuine I think. Nazi Germany issued two 10 Pf stamps, one in Buchdruck and one in Stichtiefdruck (sorry, can't seem to find the English translations for those). The StTdt was issued in 1941 (both the original German stamp and the Ukraine overprint, the latter in November). The Bdr was issued in 1942 (with the Ukraine overprint in '43). The StTdr is slightly more valuable, but both are fairly easy to obtain.

Both are likely genuine.

The 1941 Hitler Heads set used a mixture of typography and engraved printing. The lower values in the set were typography, and the higher values (starting with the 10 Pf) were engraved.

The 1943 Hitler Heads were typography only.

I was especially curious about the change on the ear and the apparent vertical lines on the forehead.

I did not realise theses existed. I have the beginnings of a German collection, but none of the Ukraine.
Where might I get them at a reasonable price (other than ebay which I do not use).
