I use a No. 1 Kodak Trimming Guard (guillotine) made by the Canadian Kodak Co.
Works just fine, and looks real cool!

I knew you wanted to see it.

I've had a Hawid guillotine for about 20 years, still going strong. Looks to be be very similar(identical?) to the Showgard

JamesW, I have something similar to yours made by Chandler, probably in the 1940s or 50s? I inherited it with a lot of photo/darkroom stuff. The darkroom stuff went as I switched to digital, but the cutter found a home in my box of stamp mounts. Incidentally, if anyone finds a decent paper cutter in a garage sale or thrift store (I found a large office style model that wasn't cutting properly) you can get the blades sharpened by a good tool sharpening service. I ended up with a $200 paper cutter for a $25 sharpening.

I thought I'd repost the picture of my 'mount cutter' after seeing Stamps1962's post elsewhere about mount cutters.
