The forgery has minor differences in the color, watermark, paper, perfs, and drawing. By my measurement, the perfs on this one match the original.

It seems like this one is canceled in the '20's...or am I seeing things that aren't there?

23rd April 1921

The most notable are...

UK: King George V watches Tottenham Hotspur beat Wolverhampton
wanderers 1-0 in the FA cup final at stamford bridge.

Australia: The St George Rugby League Club is founded.

3 days later on the 26th, London, for the first time,
Police on motor cycles patrol the city.

Hmmm, being a German Stamp
the closest notable was 11th April 1921
German Ex-Kaiserin Augusta Victoria, wife of Kaiser Wilhelm 2
passed away.
This caused Monarchist demonstrations at her funeral on the 19th of that month.

Rod222, nice East Prussian postmark from the Allenstein area! Gross Buchwalde is now Bukwald,Poland.

I vote for OBL being an owner's mark. It is worth your while looking at the watermark. Michel 587Y, the inverted watermark, catalogs at 150 euros, I believe.

There are threads on a couple of the German-language forums regarding the OBL mark. The consensus is that it's an owner's mark. Must have been quite the collection, for as many folks seem to have copies with this mark.

Thank you both for information. Added to my Album page.
Normal Watermark.
Excuse my ignorance, but what would an inverted wmk look like? The swastika facing the other direction?

Rod,

That's exactly it. The swastikas are facing the other direction.
