Newest Purchase...think I Am Ready For An Auction !

Just purchased these. It was a great deal that I could not resist. I do have many valuable Canadian stamps that I am willing to part with. Have any of you dealt with an auction house before ? Any help or information would be apreciated.

Check for watermarks on all. Check for re-entries on all, especially the 6c ones.

Or do high res scans of each, post on photobucket with link here and let us drool over them.

Where abouts in Canada are you located? There a few good auction houses that you may do well at. Maresch in toronto , sparks in ottawa, saskatoon and eastern all come to mind. Each one has various fees associated with selling - The scary part is saying OK here ya go and then sitting back and waiting until auction and then usually another couple months for payment. Really think you need to post a bunch more and get to that 50 post mark and see what you can get here? I know a few of us would do a backflip for mint large queens.

I emailed Eastern Auctions with some pics and they replied "It looks to me that you do indeed have stamps worthy of Public Auction. Our commission rate is 15% - but for straight forward material that does not require significant time to process, there might be some reduction. We will not be able to determine this until we actually see the material."

I do have over 10,000$ of catalogue value stamps in total that I am willing to part with. This is why I am looking at auction houses to sell them for me. I am near Montreal. I will email the other auction houses suggested.Will post for members if I have enough by the time I am ready to sell.

Yes, I will check these carefully for perf, watermarks, paper types and re-entries and post photobucket highres pics.
