So the other day I got something from Hong Kong. Now we all know that most people just go to the PO and the PO just puts on a label and off it goes. Well to my surprise when I got the envelope I noticed it was full of stamps.
axc77 It's not a surprise if it's from a stamp dealer. Often they got these stamps below face value and they use them on mail for their buyer. Usually they are not newly issued stamps. Also if it's not a stamp dealer some individual like to use nice commemorative stamps for their mailing. Unfortunately they are not many. Daniel
Nice cover. One of the things to urks me is that if the foreign stamps aren't cancelled, my PO uses a black marker to make sure they are! They have destroyed many a nice foreign stamp. They claim it is policy. I can understand (but don't like) the fact they need to destry US stamps, but what is the point fo foreign stamp cancellation? Am I going to reuse it on my mail? Oh well, I digress, nice cover.
