I was thinking of buying a couple .. they are 16 pages and appear to be old, but unused and very well made (in West Germany maybe?).

They are similar in look to a G and K binder I have.

I haven't used them myself, but they are made by Lighthouse. They can be pricey ($49.95 retail) but if you can get them at a reasonable price, I see no problem with them.

They are overpriced.
You can get a stockbook that is identical for $30:84 from www.worldstamps.co.uk
This album also has clear retainer strips

Here is the note on one Alligator ... about $20, with shipping ...

Alligator Classic No. 2A red-orange stockbook 16 double-sided black pages 8" x 11.5". There are 10 rows of acetate strips per page with double glassine interleaving. This is a new condition book put away many years ago by someone who wanted quality. Made in West Germany.

There also is a 9 row for same price.
