Hi Folks, I'm new here and just recently found this thread. I've seen a couple of
ebay postings for the "elusive" 2.5 SSP unissued error stamp (coat of arms facing the wrong side). I'm wondering what the story is with this stamp now that the philatelic community has had ~10 years of experience. Is this just a flash in the pan, perhaps even an "error" for marketing purposes? Or is this a real collectible similar to other true errors in the past?
A quick Google search found a Linn's article from 2018 suggesting it might be worth low-to-mid-$100 for taking a chance that this stamp could become significant. The
ebay prices are 2-3X that now. I'm curious how are South Sudan stamps viewed in the world of philately these days.
