I have a beginner question...

The Germany issues of 1961-64 #824-839 are listed as Fluorescent or Ordinary paper.

How do you tell the difference between the two? I assume some type of UV light.

Is there an 'easy' meaning cheep way to identify the two paper types?

Is one type worth more than the other?

You'll need a UV lamp to ID them. Here's a shot of both paper types under a UV light.

The difference in Michel catalog value is minimal.

Thanks.

Nice pics. The difference is pretty obvious. What light did you use?

I have a combination short/long wave lamp. It's similar to this one.

I don't remember which wavelength I was using in this photo. It showed up equally well with both.
