I sorting through a kiloware purchase and am having problems with some Yugoslavian stamps. It's a type A7 King Alexander stamp which is listed in three separate series.

A 1934 Memorial issue with Borders in Black which I can ignore as the stamps I have do not have black borders.

A 1931-34 issue "With Imprint at Foot"

A 1932-33 issue "Without Imprint at Foot"

As far as I can tell, Scott never describes the "Imprint."

The stamps I have all have a designer or engraver's name at the bottom of the design. Is that the imprint differentiating the two series? Is the imprint some kind of overprinting? The name is in cyrillic script and is something like H. BAPHEP - sorry - I no longer have access to a scanner.

Can anyone help me out?

Eric

Welcome Eric
Yes, the engraver name at the bottom is what they are referring to for the imprint.

Here are some examples of what you're talking about.
The #66 1d red on the left has the imprint at the bottom, or foot, while the #77 25p black does not.

Yes, King Aleksandar I of Yugoslavia was assassinated in Marsailles, France, Oct 9th, 1934. His assassination was the first recorded with motion camera.

you are correct, but each denomination will have only one imprint.

the first imprint shown in the first post (D. Wagner) will be found on the 25p,50p,1d,3d,4d,5d,10d,15d,20d,30d
the second imprint shown in the last post before this (Stojicevic-Wagner) will only be found on the 75p,1.50d,1.75d,3.5d

That is correct Kuhli. But there is one more similar issue that commemorates XI. international Congress of Pen-Clubs in Dubrovnik.
