Stamp Mount Dealer Recommendations

Ok, I need to buy some mounts. For reasons I got into in another post, I want to buy Scott/Prinz mounts instead of Showguard.

The cheapest prices I got online were from Amos Press and Global Stamps. Global comes out cheaper, because my order is over $25, so I get free shipping.

Have people dealt with either of these companies. Is there one I should pick over another for whatever reason?

I read the posting rules and I don't think this posts violates any rules. But if it does, feel free to yank it, mods.

This one is on ebay and sells second for a nice discount. Basically you pick what sizes you need.

I looked at the first dealer. Their shipping charge was higher than Amos. The second person I also looked at, and I need 63mm and 66mm mounts, which he does not carry, sadly. I was looking for a one stop shop, and Global and Amos came the closest for the sizes I needed.

The mounts at Mystic Stamp Co. are in my opinion are the best deal and the best quality. They are just a bit thicker which gives them more substance. They look great and are cheaper than most out there.

I've been purchasing Scott/Prinz mounts from Vance at Global Stamps for over 10 years now. He is accurate and ships quickly, usually via priority mail. His mounts are first rate ... never had any problem whatsoever.

The Mystic mounts cost considerably more. I have some Mystic mounts I bought with my album, and I like them alot.

So, I ended up ordering from Amos Press, since I wanted to order some stamp yearbooks, and adding the mounts in did not increase the price any. Next time around Global will probably get my money.

I order from Amos often (coin and stamp supplies). I had one issue where my order got lost in the mail, they shipped another one next day with no questions asked. The shipping gets a little high with large orders I think it is 10% of the total order.

I know this is a year-old post, but I wondered if anyone had anything new to add. I was also confused in that someone here really praised Mystic as best deal and best quality, though, others said not so much.

I have ordered from Golfer on ebay and have been satisfied. But as someone pointed out, that seller does not have all sizes.

I am in need of some Canadian sizes and am not sure of a good supplier - any thoughts?

I have been buying my mounts from Global. Not only is their shipping free over $25.00, they put nice stamps on the package. Last time, about three months ago a very pretty souvenir sheet!

They seem pretty reasonable. I'm not used to the middle opening mounts I prefer mine to open from the top. I may switch though.

Thanks, I will check on these soon .. though, I have found that places like Amos and Showgard usually have their focus on US sizes ... am hoping for correct vertical sizes for Canadian.
