In the latest Elizabethan Study Group "Corgi Times", a collector found a new Centennial booklet variety which they reported there.

The booklet in the article was BK65 with partial security code(unreported on this booklet).

alanl, here are a couple of images of the booklet from Corgi Times, just to give you an idea. I don't think I am breaking any rules, but I highly recommend an online subscription. The article is by Doug Karns.

Thanks for the scans, Dad.
It`s not much of a variety.
Not a plate or printing variety.

alanl, you're correct of course, it is not a printing variety. I would call it a mis-cut. Rare though, so a nice collectible item.

Well, I've just read pages 1 to 24 and am amazed at the number of varieties. I bought a large batch of stamps which contained a lot of the centennial definitives. I have sorted a lot of them but haven't been looking for varieties. I was aware of the third tower variety in the 8 cent stamp and was looking for that. Unfortunately, no luck there. However, it looks like I've got to retrace my steps on all these stamps to see what I've missed. Thanks for a great thread.

This isn't a printing variety but I thought it was interesting. I just found it. The perf holes between the stamps in this coil pair are barely cut, as if the machine didn't strike the stamp well. The last perf hole at the right is completely blind.

Do you think this is worth anything?

It is a great display item, showing printing techniwues and what can happen.

Perhaps a modest premiun over a coil pair. maybe 3x a single? Giessing. I like it though, to look at.

The poorly cut left edge and the extra paper on the top stamp's right edge suggest it didn't feed through the equipment properly.

No idea of any extra valuation for it.

Definitely a keeper. Maybe a few bucks more. Good to collect and then sell as a group of similar items.

jimjung - I acquired a bunch of unseparated coils awhile ago and thought I would make a fortune selling solid blocks of 12 on ebay. Was lucky to get face for them.

That's Ok. Those ones are for fun and interest only type of collecting. Don't risk the sale of any varieties on ebay. No one will bid unless it is clearly listed and catalogs high.

For unlisted varieties, you have sell at the right auction where is is interest in what you are selling. ebay is not the place for these.
