I know what you mean, Puzzler. I started collecting in
late 1966. I remember going to a corner store nearby
that had a postal counter and buying the 1-5 cent values.
I couldn`t afford the high values, I was not working.
I was collecting during the centennial era but took
little interest in them.

Are you collecting those funny (pardon) ink smear (looks like) varieties on the 8c and 10c (I think!?) also?

Alani's February 29th posting on page 3 of this topic is a better example of the "little moon to right of the library".

Well...not quite. The one posted on page 3 is farther
away from the library than the last one I posted.

The current bag I`m going through has about 10k stamps.
I got these from Canada mixtures about 20 years ago and
soaked off paper. I haven`t found very many nice varieties.
I was starting to think somebody had already gone through these
but today I found this one. If a centennial collector had
gone through these they wouldn`t have missed this one.

Pulled this one out of the pile today. A mark above
the top left corner. It`s found on both orange and black
perf 12x12.5.

Alani, there's also a whitish area on your March 5th entry "dot on shoulder" #459, 6 cent, your photo ref. 20120304_shdota.

While printing, the black ink must have missed a small section on the white paper.

Blackjag...I`ve seen a lot of this especially in the top
right corner. Don`t know what causes it.

A nasty scar between her eyes...knife or sword?
It might be one-of-a-kind but it is interesting.
Check out the ink drag on the CANADA as well.

Dot in the C. I posted one on page 7 on a perf 10 stamp.
There are two types. I`ll call that one type A. Today I
found both types on perf 12x12.5 stamps. Type B is also
found on the black die I 12x12.5.

Type A

Type B
