Could you imagine getting off of a Zeppelin moored at the Eiffel tower or empire state building? That would almost be scarier than the trip itself in the smoking section! Great looking zeppelins!

Zepps on stamps?
Can this thread include the kings of rock as well as of the skies?
Here is Jimmy Page (the world's greatest ever guitarist) with the stamp issued in 2010 from the Classic Album Covers set, showing the cover of Led Zeppelin IV.

Hey timbres, You are obviously a man of great taste!
I bought all the albums in the first week of release from Zepp 2 onwards (took me a year to buy the first album!). Was just blown away by Zepp 2 and all that followed, and all Robert Plant's solo stuff. Was lucky enough to see Page and Plant on the "Walking back to Clarksdale" tour some years back in Manchester, they played a lot of the classics that night, including Kashmir. Just superb!
Oh, and I don't have the stamp either. Too modern for my GB collection!

Here is an image of an airmail stamp honoring Brazilian aviation pioneer Alberto Santos-Dumont (1873-1932), designed and engraved by Pierre Béquet, and issued for use in Wallis and Futuna on July 24, 1982, Scott No. C114.

What language is used on the Malagasy stamp shown by ILS? THe inscriptions on the stamp appear to be in French, but Repoblika is not French.

The language is (I think) Malagasy. (From Wikipeida): Malagasy is the national language of Madagascar. It is related to the Malayo-Polynesian languages of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

My one and only Zep cover on it's way to Oak Bluffs from Germany. Backstamped New York on the 9th May and backstamped again at Oak Bluffs on May 11.

I found a few German Zep Covers in my collection. Both flew on LZ127. The postcard (front and back shown) appears to discuss the flight, but since I can't read German, I'll assume that it is a very deep and intellectual discussion on the subject.
