So last night at my stamp club meeting. A lady came in with her grandfathers collection. In 3 BIG boxes plus some albums.

I talked to her and offered to sell it for her on consignment. She agreed.

SO I loaded everything up in my car, got home and unloaded. Looked into a wooden box, pulled out a couple of stamps...
lo and behold...
first stamp is a Iceland #2 USED (really used not faked)
SO. my scott 2009 says $1250.00
Anyone have a 2012 scott?

Buyers of Iceland material use Facit catalog prices and they usually sell for a small fraction of catalog. Also I believe there are varieties but I'm not really in tune with Iceland material. It is the 4 Skilling ?

Jay Smith is selling one on his site (used) for $155.00 with gorgeous margins and centering, but has a thin.

You might want to take a look at this as a comparable, also. (Two bids on them already):

I talked to the owner and she talked to her dad, and he seems to think that he got that stamp expertized and it had a fake cancel... I'm gonna have to look at it real close. But I will post pictures as soon as I get the chance.
