Does anyone have images of Newfoundland Sc#268 (2c surcharge on 30c Memorial University College) that were cancelled? It is my understanding that most were grabbed up by "speculators" on the issue date.
Here is William Meyerson writing in BNA Topics (1946 issue#25) on speculators hording the Newfoundland Scott#268. Given that the article came out not long after the issue date it would be interesting to find out if many made their way onto covers.
I don't think it is a particularly rare item; I've seen some on ebay and have purchased one on cover. Can't post an image right now as I am away from home for a few days.
