Attach is a scan of a paste up pair.
my scott's catalogue only mentions the coils with small and large perf holes.
Could anyone identify, verify and tell me of any Specialized Catalogue value ?

These look to be the no watermark issue of 1949. Gibbons lists the basic stamp as SG 228 at 20p, and the coil pair as SG 228c at 75p.

As an aside, I well remember getting rid of excess halfpennies in my youth by feeding them into the coil machines and getting these ˝d stamps. Coil joins weren't that uncommon, especially if you had sufficient halfpennies.

Thank you so much.
I did not think that they were so common.
