And 2006 is done. You'll just need to print out pages 12-13 if you already have a copy of 2006 printed.

And time to crowdsource an answer...

The 2007 Great White Pelican Sheet...

Now that I have the proper dimensions for the sheet (and an actual sheet on hand, thank you ukrposhta!), the sheet is bigger than my margins. I have one of 3 layout options and I'd like to know people opinion of the best choice.

Option 1 (no cool header or border box on the page)

Option 2 (stamp bleeds over the same distance on the top and bottom)

Option 3 (stamp flush with bottom margin, but bleeds over the top)

I'm leaning towards option 3, but I'm open to suggestions.

I vote for #1. I don't care for the heavy frame lines on the others.

Have you given much thought to the format of the 1919 to 1923 Ukraine section?

Stampuoso has a great article on the Stamps of Carpatho Ukraine Region 1939 - 1945

http://stampuoso.com/tag/carpatho-ukraine

These would be a great addition to any album.

Huh ... Just downloaded new 2006. When did you start appending US_Letter to the names? Getting a bit confused on version integrity. I guess I was expecting 20061 like your previous naming convention. Also, a thought ... maybe a date or version history in your notes? I think I'm 'gonna dump my entire file and re-download everything. Fortunately, I haven't printed a page of any of the files.

... Cal

I'm going to put a sidebar box up with the link to the latest version of each page to make it easy for everyone. The page now has US-Letter in the name, because I made A4 versions of all the pages for the European guy using my pages.

I'm not sure what the total distribution is of my album, but when I post a new supplement, I get about 50-60 hits on the site. Only about 10 of them are from SCF, so I get a decent amount of traffic from people that discovered me outside of SCF.

I'm hoping when the new UPNS newletter comes out, I'll get a bunch of expert Ukrainian collectors that can really critique the pages and help make them better.

Now that 2011 is done, here's my order for what's next:

1. Clean up 2007 and get it out.
2. Work on 2012
3. 1991-1992 Provisional Stamp Pages

Hey Andy:

Andrea in Great Britain says an attached pair, the width is 68mm and the depth is 62mm. So you can do the math.

That means it will fit in a 33mm mount instead of a 36mm mount. I may need to make the box smaller then....

What about the 2007 Regional Costumes? You have the sheet but not the pairs.

And the 2007 update is complete.

http://stamphacks.com/wp/?p=455

Here's what's new:

  • Page 5 – I put the Locomotive descriptions to the left of the stamps to balance out the stamp above it with the description on the right. Purely cosmetic. You can keep using your old page if you like it.
  • Page 8 – Changed stamp caption to read "Wedding Headdress" instead of "Traditional Headdress," so it matches the page previous to it that contains the description.
  • Page 10 – Changed the size of the box so that the Pelican Miniature Sheet fits inside of it properly
  • Page 14 – Added the se-tenant pairs for the traditional costumes.
  • Page 15 – Changed the description for the traditional costumes sheet so it's not a duplicate of the description for the se-tenants.

A note about Page 10: When I changed the size of the stamp box to fit the pelican sheet properly, it bled over into the border and header. I made the decision to turn around and simply blank the page out, since I thought that having it bleed into the border was rather ugly. On the A4 page size, I didn't have that problem and left the header and border up.
