Here is a quick list of Western Australia post offices - not a book, certainly, but better than nothing:

http://www.pbbooks.com/cr67.htm

I copied the first four, just to show you the format. The year date is sometimes included, the year the post office opened; the numbers at the end are latitude and longitude.

Abbotts 1900 26s20 118e23
Albany 1834 14 AL 35s02 117e53
Anaconda (Eulaminna) 28s58 121e46
Applecross 32s00 115e49

If you're looking for WA numeral cancels, this site below may be useful to you. Go down 3 quarters of the first page to the entry on Dec. 16, 2009: Western Australia Numeral Cancellations:

First time sighted:
Western Australian Circular strike...No Date

Suggestions:
Part time canceller for items that miss the machine canceller.

New format for Australia Post.

If so, that nullifies all the Postal items
previously believed to be cinderellas with no date.
