i just bought Scott catalogs volume 1 through 6 2008 for 175 bucks on ebay..its a compromise..the 2009s are over 300 dollars a set..i much prefer working with the hardcopy catalogs to a CD ! |

Rick the 2000 scott is good for Guatemala...very few price changes and all the GOOD stamps are really pre 1930 !! |

The SG catalogue is far more detailed than the Scott catalogue, for the British Empire & Commonwealth.

Thanks T360...i respect your judgement...for me the logistics of driving 30 mile round trip and a bridge toll and half a day spent in a library when I want to check a catalog value of a stamp doesnt make much sense !! |

I agree. For me to go to the library that has SC would be a 40 min drive there--plus time spent. Of course, I don't have to worry about that thanks to Triggersmob who won a set here on this FANTASTIC forum and had them sent to me!

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.7 square miles (4.4 kmē), of which, 1.4 square miles (3.6 kmē) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.8 kmē) of it (17.86%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,189 people, 814 households, and 609 families residing in the village.
Buchanan has a library that has 2008 Scott Catalogs....

I only use the catalogues for the listings, and then again, it's the ones found at the Public Library. I photocopy the counrty's entry (can get two pages at a time on one page) and use them as checklists. Every year I only have to add a page or two.
I may consult the up-to-date prices if I'm on a buying spree, since my local dealer sells at Scott prices.
