Judging by the description, I would surmise that English is not his first language. That being said, perhaps it was his intention to list currency to be paid in Weimar-era German Marks? In that case, these would be priced to sell at less than .01/ea!

At least he/she found some better copies of that stamp.

I remember (almost longingly) the wild and crazy days of ebay - the ghost cane, "Virgin Mary" on a grilled cheese sandwich, the rights to name someone's baby, a sink full of freshly caught sunfish.

one really has to question why ebay allows this nonsense to happen on such a regular basis

Overall, ebay does a pretty good job of weeding this sort of thing out. It's unlikely this seller will continue to list this lot for too long due to the cost of listing fees (unless he genuinely believes his wares are worth the asking price).

This is even worse on sites that do not charge a listing fee. Those sites love to compare the number of stamps listed on their own site to that of ebay, but you get a whole lot more of this kind of nonsense as a result.

LOL LOL LOL LOL

Wow, I am worth a fortune. What I should do now is get all of mine together and ask the seller if he can make me an offer close to that - - of course I have to allow him room to make a profit <G>

What a deal!

No doubt he listed the items on the many "free listing days" that ebay promotes.

I guess if you do " ebay free listing day" in lieu of scratch tickets...there might be a slight advantage.
