Everything went fine but then I search if my item is listed and couldn't find it. I checked myEbay and found it. I clicked on it and I got this message about some restrictions. Also the auction starting price was in red. I had a picture for the stamps and a picture close up for the expert mark. I cannot find where I went wrong. I canceled the listing. Thanks in advance for any help. Daniel

ebay do say it might take a few minutes after uploading for a listing to appear in searches, so if you checked immediately it might not have been available yet. Secondly, the auction price always starts in red until there has been a bid, when it changes to green. I don't know what the message was about restrictions? someone else might have an idea about that. |

stampgal Thanks for the info.
To be more specific here is the beginning of the message "Unfortunately, access to this particular item has been blocked due to legal restrictions in some countries." |

Despite the expert marks, I bet someone reported the stamps as counterfeits and ebay's auto reply was to block the listing. |

Battlestamps If that is the reason, it would have been done within 5 minutes I post the listing. Strange... There is 2 dealers selling these stamps and they look like mine as well as in Scott catalogue. ebay should be more specific so I know where I stand. |

timbres667, I have heard this more than once from new sellers. ebay is very strict (to the point of being absurd) with new sellers. Try to list another item tomorrow and see how it works. Write ebay is necessary but as philb mentioned their help desk is far from being helpful. |

Was there any mention of occupation or hitler/ natzi in your description? I know those particular words even though there should be no issues have caused problems but not sure if that was stamp related. |

philb Seahorse Nitro Thanks for your post These stamps were issued in 1944 just after Poland was liberated. No mention of Hitler or Nazi in the description. I will try to list it again tomorrow. |

Hi to all Just a point of view. I contacted ebay once re anything to do with Nazi Germany. Their policy is so long as there is not a racist comment they will accept any material that is related to the Third Reich for sale. Regards Horamakhet |

When it comes to Third Reich material, I now cut and paste ebay's guidelines for such items right into my listing as I had an item pulled a couple of years ago that wasn't against regulations. ebay pulled it as a knee-jerk reaction to someone reporting it. It was reported one day before the auction was to end as well and it had bids. After 5-6 back and forth emails, ebay admitted that they were wrong. I need to frame that email for the wall. I still say it was reported, but try contacting ebay. You just might get a response. |

Quote:I find them superior in every way, to ebay. Except the most important way. They have about .001% of the buyers. When comparing traffic on Alexa, Bidstart is so close to the bottom it appears to be flatlined. That is so far from "superior in every way" it's not funny. I know I want my stuff being seen by ebay's traffic over Bidstart any day, even with the fees. You get what you pay for. |
