Here is an image of a stamp depicting St. John's Co-Cathedral, a Baroque style church designed by the Maltese military architect Glormu Cassar (1520-1592), and built between 1573 and 1578 to be the conventual church of the Order of the Knights Hospitaller of St John, known as the Knights of Malta, engraved and printed by Waterlow & Sons, Ltd, and issued for use in Malta on May 3, 1954 to publicize the Royal Visit of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh to Malta, Scott No. 242.

Happy 88th Birthday to Queen Elizabeth II! Here is an image of a stamp featuring a portrait of the young queen wearing the insignia of the "Order of Australia," designed by Frank D. Manley with the collaboration of Australian artist Ralph Malcolm Warner (1902-1966), engraved by Frank D. Manley, printed by W.C.G. McCracken, and issued by Australia on February 2, 1954 as one of a set of three stamps commemorating the Royal Visit of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, Scott No. 268.

Here is an image of a stamp featuring a portrait of Haile Selassie I (1892-1975), Emperor of Ethiopia, printed by photogravure, and issued by Brazil on January 31, 1961 to commemorate Selassie's state visit, Scott No. 915, plus a photo of the uniformed emperor in 1969, and a YouTube link to a short newsreel about this visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UODOpIBsvmM Historical note: On December 13, 1960, during Haile Selassie's visit to Brazil, his Imperial Guard staged a coup d'état, briefly proclaiming Haile Selassie's eldest son Asfa Wossen as emperor. However, the coup was crushed by the regular army and police forces.
