Currently 22-25% of the energy produced on the Ĺland Islands is wind generated. The goal is to increase the share to 70%. Excess electricity generated by wind can then be exported to Finland and Sweden.

Estonia, 2009. Old windmill at Angla, Saaremaa island.






It's, actually, an open air museum with six old windmills. I was there five years ago.

Sexbierum Wind Farm is on the coast of North Sea near the municipality of Franekeradeel. The wind farm was commssioned in 1996 with a total nominal power of 600 kW.

"Tourism:" various buildings, including a windmill, printed by photogravure, and issued by Spain on April 1, 1964 as one of a set of 14 stamps commemorating 25 years of peace, Scott No. 1237.

April 19, 1967
The town of Uusikaupunki was founded as a town with the rights of commerce in 1617. The stamp design features one of the old windmills at Myllymaki Hill.
