Hi All

This image should give all of you a good idea about some of the marginal inscriptions that are found on the Canadian 'registered' stamps.

Glad to share any time.

Every now and then I came across a used single with a marking on it and was wondering where in any given sheet that this would occur. Hopefully, this will help others who like to position their singles.

From one of my old auction catalogues, I came across the following two images from a Plate Position 55 for the 5 cents green "Registered" stamps. The colour is a little off. This is not my scanner but the colour it showed on the page with the colour plate in the auction catalogue itself.

Hi Bujutsu,

Thanks for the information of 5c Registration stamp in pos.55. I was unware of this variety and my Unitrade 2009 version does not list it! After seeing your post I checked my F2s and found one...yippee!

Do you know if the latest Unitrade lists this variety and if so, what the assigned Scott number is?

Great sheet of the 2 cent and nice collection of registration stamps. Its amazing how poorly it was perforated as the stamps vary from XVF to F depending on their position in the sheet. Poor quality control in those days, I guess.

Hi stamporator and all

Unfortunately, my 2012 edition of the Unitrade Catalogue does not list it either. You would think that the editors would pick up on this (?)

Also, glad that you found an example. That makes my day because the information paid off

Just for completeness.... Here is a scan of my F2 stamp with the 'barbs' in the 'S' and 'T' of Registration.
