Thanks for the nice handling of this large sized envelope.

It does have cardboard stiffeners inside of it but all of the stamps came through with nary a scratch.

Australia Post's beautiful cancels and handling and Canada Post's plastic bag enclosing the envelope helped along the way to protect it no doubt. The extra care is appreciated by this stamp collector!

Thank You !

Actually when I opened the plastic bag there was a 2 inch (25 cm) cut in one end that had not been taped by the sender. But nothing 'leaked' out mainly due to the diligence of Canada Post and the good handling by Australia Post.

And all the airline ground people who handled this also!

We have to appreciate the sender for the nice stamps on the cover. He/she has also given spaces between each stamp also, if soaked they would come out very well.

But the cover with the cancelled stamps is a very good addition in one's collection.

I hope some day I receive such nice covers from my post office too.

warm wishes.

Yes indeed. I believe these are current issues and nicely spaced as you say.

I am glad they made it safely. I recently bought some stamps off ebay which were shipped to Canada by UPS. It was well labelled by the seller as "Stamps for Collector"; however Customs decided to search the package. They didn't exercise any caution and used a box cutter to open the box. Needless to say some of my stamps were destroyed by the very sharp box cutter =(

P.S. I know it was Customs because they taped the box back with tape marked "Customs".

That was a nasty surprise for you. UPS courier I think is usually opened by customs. USPS post office can sneak through if not labeled 'correctly' with a customs form of some sort.

Nice avatar by the way. Is that from an Australian stamp? Looks familiar somehow.
