Hi Puzzler, Thats real scary thinking that those are copies. Such detail..Now I'm worried about a U.S. MNH scott 1053 I purchased on E-Bay. It is perfect, except for what appears to be a regum. But it didn't say it was regummed. Didn't say anything to the seller about it. They have to face themselves in the mirror daily. Its amazing what people will do to an item just for their financial gain. I guess a replica is better than nothing. Thanks for sharing.. Keith |

Quote: I guess a replica is better than nothing. I think a lot of people feel this way. From the amount of different stamp copies this seller has listed for sale you could almost make a separate collection of just these. And it would look pretty indeed. Mice (no mice on these stamps!) Nice new bright paper, nice new ink. |

I guess my views on these are well known by now but having seen the listings of that seller, all are within the ebay guidelines and regulations. I collect reproductions and find nothing wrong with them if they are marked and sold as such. Let us not forget that millions of dollars change hands each year for 'real dangerous' forgeries that are blatantly sold as such on the open market and are not usually marked as such. If that is OK for the big auctions houses,Gibbons and all, then these harmless repros are fine with me. Londonbus1 |

Anyone have any of these that I can take a look at?
This subject has been bugging me for a while. I want to see some of these, but I don't want to send money to the folks making them.
I'm guessing color laserjet prints, but that almost seem too simple.
If anyone has a scanned image or two to share - either on forum or to me directly, Id appreciate it greatly.
Thanks, -p |

I don't like these replicas...even has space filler in the album. Pay $5 or more for a few photocopies that I can do myself or print from internet's images...don't make sense. Not real stamps...not Philately...nothing at all It is the same as did many years ago guys such as Fournier and Spiro. Put one of these in the collection as space filler is to deceive oneself. I prefer to put a damage or poor quiality stamp, but real. The avatar is eloquent : believe it lion and only be a cat. |

Fake stamps are just plain garbage. Worth nothing... If you want fakes, print your own. Other then that who wants a printed photocopy of a stamp? Why even bother collecting? Waste of time and not worth further discussion. |

Just to add to this thread, another ebay seller has the 3 US Zeppelin stamp "copies" for under $6 ... at least they have clearly noted that they are copies on the back of each stamp ... but they are apparently selling quite a few of them, as 11 sets are sold already, with another 9 sets available for sale: |
