'ya know ... This price is getting to the point where design your own may be too damn much work. Have you seen any of the page layouts? |

They are the same as the Mystic Heirloom, which I have issues with. But if you're willing to collect the Mystic way, then these are a great cheap option. |

I challenge anyone to design, print, and bind a hingeless album for under $70. I am stunned at the very low price on these. I can't wait for one of our members to purchase one and write up a review in the US album review thread. https://goscf.com/t/17127Brian |

The true test is going to be whether the mounts are still stuck to the sheets 5 years from now. |

I'm curious as to how complete or simple the coverage of the classic era material is. That's always the achilles heel of any (comparatively) inexpensive album. |

The original video they posted (and since took down, since the album got delayed), said that the classic era section was expanded beyond what was in the Heirloom album. I'd be tempted to buy these if I could deal with Mystic always wanting to put se-tenants in strips, or separate them completely.
How would I hack hingeless pages? I'd have to buy Hawid mounts and then the price of the album goes way up. |

I bought vol 1 and I like it. The only problem that I have with it so far is that the pages at the front do not have many stamps so the pages do not lie flat like the rest. Other than that I like it so far. I plan on buying vol 2 soon. |

Hate to inject some negativity- but, I bought volume one of this album and had to return it- twice. Both sets of pages they shipped were awful. The pages were wrinkled and rippled. They did refund my money but kept my shipping payment. It looked as if they applied the mounts using too much moisture. I tried to discuss with one of the phone reps but although she was courteous, I think she thought I was a crank. I hope my experience was an abberation but I did see someone on another board who had the same thing happen.. |

I bought volume one about six to eight months ago and am quite happy with the set volume I received. I know that there were initial problems that I as an amateur collector did not notice in the least but was notified of by mystic.. I can say they are a bit limited on the early classics as an example I was recently trying to place some Scott 26a's, if I remember right, and noticed they only had one spot for the stamp and no space for color variations. Overall a great inexpensive Album for an average collector but not for someone more advanced. |

I would think these issues would be less prevalent in Volumes II and III, as there are less variations in 20th and 21st century stamps. |

I have the first two albums and love them.. very thorough.
I just order the "bridge" pages.. 1947-1966 and plan on ordering the third album.

The classic coverage is pretty good. I mounted my 10a and 11a in the space beside the 10 and 11. They are quite thorough. My pages are very well made. I bought them AFTER they reprinted them because of earlier production problems. |

In answer to the earlier question, my pages were in the newer deluxe binder. I just do not understand what happened- seemingly everyone else is pretty much happy with these and it makes me wonder if I am too picky, or something. All I know is that the pages were visably rippled- also curved. The fact I got an identical set with the same issues for a replacement leads me to think someone at Mystic may have been unloading older product on me. In any case it was very disappointing. It also left me wondering about Mystic.. |
