i picked this guy up yesterday..the stamp itself is not valuable..but a cancel like that will bring premiums from German colonies collectors !!

Diane, yes and I almost missed out on the best bargains..but for some reason just before leaving I started looking at some items on a dealer I had not visited and he started talking to me about how he could sell at a large discount thanks to a recent windfall estate collection..then I started to pick..without him the show would have been just o.k. .... |

Just goes to show it always pay's to take a second look. I've never been to a stamp show but have been to other types of shows and have found that when I take my time and go through each booth I have a much better time.

Just saw this thread, Philb. I had never heard of a postmark dummy, and certainly never knew that you were one. Gee, you think you know someone, and then they surprise you.....  Is it a better gig than a ventriloquist's dummy?  |
