I purchased the complete Face on Mars set a couple of years ago, because of its notoriety. Less than $20 for the whole set, off ebay. I have a few more dribs and drabs from Sierra Leone, but none of those die cut stamps.
Regards, Robert

I'd like to see them Trainwreck,
are they scanned?
They originally were promoted at $100 for the set.
I'll have to Google ebay perhaps.

I don't have them scanned. I can scan and post tonight. There is a seller on ebay right now with a BIN price of $12.50. The picture shows one souvenir sheet and 4 miniature sheets of 9 stamps each. I'll have to check tonight, but I thought there were two souvenir sheets in the set, along with the four miniature sheets.
Regards, Robert

No one will find Fienstien if you Google. The name is (Alan) Feinstein, and you can read a highlights-biography and some tepid criticism of his money-making schemes in Wikipedia.

Never say never Doug. Googled the name (incorrectly spelled) and face on mars, and came up with more listings than I cared to read on the man. Google is funny that way.

If you are considering purchasing the Face on Mars set, make sure it includes 4 miniature sheets of 9 stamps, and two souvenir sheets. One souvenir sheet depicts the face, and the other depicts a space station, presumably in orbit around Mars.

Here's an editorial from Linn's I kept regarding the Face on Mars set.

Cheers, Robert

Looks like a good book but 60 pounds? You really need to specialize in Sierra philately for that kind of investment?
