OK I was sorting 1000's of on piece stamps from a humungous box of kiloware and found these. I know some are in terrible/deplorable condition but want to know is there is anything here worth looking into further or if I just just sell them? SKILO is probably the one I should be asking huh? Any help would be fantastic!

Anyways here is a 600dpi scan of what I found SO-FAR!

Nice Kings, ILS. But I don't think any of these qualify as 'Downey Heads'. Those would be the 3/4 profile George V's from the beginning of his reign.
These are all full profile George V and some of his Royal Dad Edward VII.
That said, still a nice selection to search out colour and print variations, as well as some perfins and nice (though damaged) revenue overprint there on the bottom row.
Some nice cancels too. Looking forward to seeing what else you uncover.

You could do what I do and sort them roughly first into general type. None of the ones you've shown are Downey heads though - they're the ones with the head partially turned to the front. Once I have them in a rough sort, then I set aside all the nice cancels and perfins to look at closer later. Once the stamps are roughly sorted, I start holding them up to check for watermarks and divide accordingly, including a pile for the ones that I can't see easily. There are lots of different varieties, but not everyone has the patience or desire to sort through them all. I'm kinda partial to them as I like the challenge...

Well, I thank you greatly for the information and the advice. I think I will just gift them to someone who may appreciate them sometime in the near future. -Jeff

The perfin stamps look nice too. The second last stamp (3d violet) is interesting as it is "perfinned" and also looks like it came from a booklet as it has that sort of trimming? May have some exotic sort of watermark variety anyway

Thanks but probably all junk. Although I have been fortunate before finding unusual things in odd places? I guess it goes to show that the devil really is in the details! I'll have to look (As soon as I figure out what I'm looking for!)

honestly though, I'll probably just pitch 'em in the trash. I don't collect foreign material and it would cost more to ship them out than what I'd probably get for them so...that's what up. I'm getting cranky in my old age huh? lol
