There is only one mention of this stamp in Scott 2007. It's #176 A50 50r
green. One doesn't look green it's more like olive. I think it's a color change because of a long time sun exposure. When I first compared those stamps I was sure they were from different printing but there is no mention of it.

Hello timbres667. Maybe you are searching on wrong catalouge hahahaha on brazilian RHM catalouge have a long description about this colour changes, I'll translate it for you ( I'm sorry for my english, hope you understand ):

"The difficulties not only from Casa da Moeda ( Coin House ) but the relationship with the post office was the main fact to order the stamps from outside Brazil, from 1904 and 1918.
The stamps impressed from American Bank Note Co., was estabilished since 1912 in a new edition with new colours and a litle diferent paper from the other ones.
The tint of this stamps have loew resistance to water"

Hope you understand :P

Hi

I agree with that the colour differences is due to different deliveries made by the printers.
These are 2 specimen stamps in which you notice color differences :

The difference in the letters of specimen overprinting indicates that they correspond to 2 different impressions
