Don't worry about me buying stuff you would buy- I am on a VERY limited budget!

SpanishMoss: I can't believe this, but last night, while out running last-minute errands before the road trip, my "check engine" light started going on and off. Now, I just had the car in for servicing last week, in anticipation of the trip (turned out to be a major $$$$ servicing), and I'll lose a day having it checked out again today.

So I'm just going to assume it was not in the cards for me to make the trip this time, and that's too bad, because I think the annual APS summer show is the best one in the country (and the next best one is the winter show, which will at least be back out here -- in Southern California, in fact -- in 2013).

So please accept my apologies, and have a good show!

Thanks! Hope you had a great time at the show. I hated to miss it! There are a couple of good regional shows in the Los Angeles area, and the APS Winter show is coming to Riverside in 2014, but I sure regretted not being able to get to Sacramento last past week.

I had a wonderful time. It was my first APS show and I couldn't get over how huge it was! It's very encouraging to see that there are SO many people interested in stamps and that, even though the numbers aren't the same as in the past, the hobby is still alive and flourishing.

Hopefully you will be able to make it to the other shows in your area. If you are feeling up to a trip, maybe I will see you in Milwaukee next year!
