Is there a way to tell if a `Specimen` overprint is fake or real? Measuring??
This one has no gum, and according Y&T this is Y&T #52 (1888-1892 issue). How does a `Specimen` overprint affects CV?

the final conclusion is that overprinting of Specimen stamps took place in Australia prior to 1913.
