I acquired some recent (mid-2000s) Finland self-adhesive commemoratives.

How well do these stamps soak in water? I don't use chemical solvents for removing the stamp from the paper. If water won't do the trick, then I am content with leaving the stamp on paper and trimming the excess. I know most recent U.S. stamps no longer have the soluble layer in the adhesive, and Great Britain security Machins are the same way.

Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Robert
